SAN JOSE, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Voice over Broadband (VoBB)
innovator, Jetstream Communications International, is answering the growing
carrier demand for its next generation telecoms technology with the
appointment of Lynne Austin as European Channel Development Director.
Jetstream's continuing focus on Europe also sees the appointment of Joel
Pennington as Senior Systems Engineer. Both will be based in the UK.
Lynne Austin joins Jetstream indirectly from AT&T, where she enjoyed
success in both a Business Development and Account Director role. Ms. Austin
has almost ten years management experience in the UK & European telecoms
markets, including spells at Genesis Digital Services, Colt and Demon
 Internet.
"Even in today's market, Jetstream is a growing company, enjoying success
by developing tremendous interest in its innovative solutions," said Lynne
Austin, newly appointed Channel Development Director at Jetstream. "My
responsibility will be to manage our sales channels and partner relationships,
which will free up other senior staff in the region to concentrate on service
 provider customers and product development."
Pennington joins from Nortel Networks and has broad technical experience
with next generation network infrastructure technology gained on both sides of
the Atlantic. His remit is to work closely with carrier customers and provide
 the necessary technical support.
Jetstream officially launched their Global Solution at CeBIT in Hanover
last month though many European carriers have been testing Jetstream VoBB
technology since Q4 2000. "The popularity of Jetstream's International
proposition is exceeding our boldest expectations, and I'm very pleased to
have Lynne on board to concentrate on our channel strategy," said Keith
Stentiford, European Managing Director of Jetstream. "The appointments of
both Joel and Lynne have come months ahead of our original plans."
"Voice over Broadband enables carriers to capture a crucial competitive
advantage among the growing community of service providers," added Ms. Austin.
"Channel partners in the know are finding out how they can effectively deliver
 these solutions."
