July 14 Journey to a Cure - Dani's Fabulous Odyssey to Raise Kid's Cancer Funds Features Art, Fashion, Music, Dance, Tattoo-Painting

    DENVER, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- People of all ages can have a blast and
 help beat pediatric cancer at a July 14 event from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the
 Westin Hotel Tabor Center, Denver.  The fund raiser for Dani's Foundation,
 called Journey to a Cure - Dani's Fabulous Odyssey, will feature young fashion
 designers (under age 25) from Colorado.  The evening event will be fun filled
 with music, dance, youth art, tattoo-painting, silent auction, and the fashion
 show.  Dani's Foundation honors the late Daniele (Dani) Stell, an artistic
 19-year old who died of Ewing's Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer, in April 1999.
     Founded in 1999 by her mother, Michele Ashby, Dani's Foundation is
 dedicated to fighting children's cancer, with both conventional and
 alternative treatments.  Proceeds from the event, Journey to a Cure - Dani's
 Fabulous Odyssey, will support The Children's Hospital Cancer Research Lab and
 other research projects for pediatric cancers.
     Sponsors and contributors include the Westin Hotel Tabor Center, Patron
 Tequila, British Airways, The Children's Hospital, Kaleidoscope Productions,

     Journey to a Cure - Dani's Fabulous Odyssey - Dani's Foundation welcomes
 the Cleo Parker Robinson Young Adult dance troupe as part of this year's
 entertainment.  Also featured is a fashion show, which will give national
 exposure to young designers from Colorado as upcoming talent in clothing
 designs.  The winning fashion designer will receive a prize package including
 a trip to New York to meet and spend a day with the famous designer, Norma
 Kamali, at her corporate headquarters, OMO Norma Kamali, and a tour of Polo
 Ralph Lauren.  Second prize will be a Norma Kamali design sleeping bag coat.
     In August of 2000, Dani's Foundation held its first fund raiser sponsored
 by Westin Hotel Tabor Center, Westin Westminister, Patron Tequila, Charmer
 Industries, Republic Beverage Company, Midwest Beverage Company, The
 Children's Hospital, Rocky Mountain News, Spectrum Audio/Visual, Partners
 Press, Office Furniture Brokers, Pepsi, National Barricade, Moser Printing,
 Evian, and Art Floral.  Over $25,000 was raised at the first fund raiser for
 children's cancer research.
