    BURNSVILLE, Minn., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Cygnus Expositions, a leader
 in providing business-to-business conferences and expositions, announced the
 appointment of Karl Fippinger to Show Manager for Firehouse Expo and Fire-
 Rescue West.  Mr. Fippinger brings more than 15 years experience in show
 management and operations, most recently as Exhibits Manager for the
 International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Fire-Rescue International
 conference and exposition.
     "Karl possesses the important blend of a firefighter's perspective and
 event management strengths and experience which is essential in producing

     Mr. Fippinger's previous experience includes producing annual meetings,

     In addition to his event management background, he is a Captain with the
 Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton (OWL) Volunteer Fire Department in Woodbridge,
 Virginia, where he is responsible for the management of a 20,000 square foot
 fire station housing approximately three million dollars worth of fire
 equipment and training assets.  He is also an Adjunct Instructor with the
 Training Division for the Fairfax County Department of Fire & Rescue in
 Fairfax, Virginia.
