Apr 03, 2001, 01:00 ET from Ketchum

NEW YORK, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ketchum today announced the acquisition
of Stromberg Consulting, a New York-based management consulting firm
 specializing in change management communications.
Stromberg Consulting, which has approximately 60 employees, becomes part
of "Ketchum Inside," the new name for Ketchum's Workplace Communication and
Change Management practice. The practice also includes Ketchum Sheppard,
which specializes in HR and employee communication, Concentric Communications,
which focuses on meeting and event production and planning, a Labor Relations
specialty in Pittsburgh and a partnership with eKetchum, Ketchum's intranet
 development group.
"Communicating with internal constituencies about organizational change is
one of the biggest business challenges facing our clients today," commented
Raymond Kotcher, senior partner and chief executive officer of Ketchum. "The
acquisition of Stromberg Consulting rounds out our workplace portfolio and
establishes Ketchum as a full service provider in this important category. We
look forward to introducing Stromberg to our clients and integrating their
 skills into our agency."
"By joining Ketchum, we believe both our companies and our combined
clients will benefit from the new expanded services we have to offer," said
Gary Stromberg, the firm's founder and president. "We share the same vision
for the future and are excited about continuing our work as part of Ketchum."
Partner Peter Fleischer leads Ketchum Inside. "You'd be hard pressed to
find a business today that is not experiencing some sort of change -- whether
it's a change in strategy, structure, systems, leadership, product mix or
benefits. Unfortunately, too many fail to realize the return on the
investment they've made in change," said Fleischer. "The addition of
Stromberg will provide Ketchum clients with a high value resource that will
help increase their effectiveness in managing organizational change
 communications."
Stromberg Consulting adds significant depth to Ketchum Inside and the
agency at large. All Stromberg professionals hold advanced degrees (either a
Masters, MBA or a Ph.D.) in areas such as business and organizational
 development.
Stromberg Consulting helps clients define and articulate their business
strategies and then "operationalize" them and has worked with dozens of blue
chip companies in virtually every sector of business. Their client list
includes Citibank, Pfizer, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Deutsche Bank, MetLife
 and Merck & Co.

Headquartered in New York, Ketchum, a unit of Omnicom Group Inc.
(NYSE: OMC) (http://www.omnicomgroup.com) is the seventh-largest public
