Currently Lopdrup, 42, is chief executive officer for Allied Domecq Quick
Service Restaurants International. He has sixteen years of experience in the
quick service restaurant industry, including leading the 3,600 international

Domecq. Lopdrup has spent half of his career in the domestic side of Allied
Domecq Quick Service Restaurants and the other half in the international side.
Lopdrup led a successful turnaround of the international business for
these chains, taking it from record losses to record profitability by focusing
on improving unit economics, including improving supply chain management.
Lopdrup's initiatives also included focusing resources on the best growth
opportunities, upgrading field and corporate personnel and closing non-viable
restaurants. These steps improved the annual profits dramatically while also
improving support to franchisees and accelerating store growth. Lopdrup also
initiated a marketing plan that grew per store sales of beverages by 13
percent per annum for a sustained period of time.
"We are delighted Kim has joined Burger King," said Dasburg. "Kim knows
the business, moves quickly to get things done and has a proven track record
in successfully managing and turning around large quick service restaurant
chains. Clearly, with his successes and experiences in the industry, Kim will
be a valuable member of the Burger King team. Kim also understands the
strategic nature of franchising and works effectively with franchisees. This
is essential as we move the entire Burger King system forward."
Prior to his career at Allied Domecq, Lopdrup spent three years at Procter
& Gamble in a variety of brand management positions, working on brands such as
Folger's Coffee and Citrus Hill orange juice.
