Apr 20, 2001, 01:00 ET from Kum & Go

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
The store with the most smiles wins! Extra-friendly Kum & Go associates can
earn votes and customers can win prizes in a new inter-store competition that
begins today and runs through July 4, 2001.
Krause Gentle launched the service-oriented, Friendliest Store Competition
among its 305 convenience stores to emphasize the guest services it offers to
 every Kum & Go shopper.
"With convenience stores across 12 states, we were looking for a way to
say thanks to our customers and provide a little friendly competition among
our stores. The Friendliest Store Competition is an exceptional opportunity
to show our customers how much we appreciate their business," says W.A.
Krause, president and CEO of Krause Gentle Corporation. "Every store
associate will 'Go All Out' to out-serve, out-smile and out-friendly
 associates in every other store."
Not only are Kum & Go customers the recipients of lots of goodwill, but
customers who vote for their favorite Kum & Go store will earn a chance to win
a trip for two to Hollywood.
From now through July 4, 2001, customers are invited to cast ballots for
their favorite -- and friendliest -- Kum & Go store. Winning associates and
managers will also be awarded prizes that include trips to Hollywood, DVD
 players, CDs and t-shirts.
