LaBarge Receives $1.5 Million Contract From Raytheon on Naval Missile Program

Company to Supply Cable Assemblies for Launch System

    ST. LOUIS, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- LaBarge, Inc. (Amex:   LB) announced
 today it was awarded a contract valued at $1.5 million from the Raytheon
 Company's Missile Systems business unit in Tucson, Ariz.  Under the contract,
 LaBarge will provide Raytheon with cable assemblies for the Rolling Airframe
 Missile (RAM) Guided Missile Weapon System.  Follow-on orders are expected.
     RAM is a lightweight, quick-reaction, ship self-defense missile developed
 and produced cooperatively by the United States and Germany.  It was designed
 to provide exceptional protection for ships of all sizes and is a key element
 of ship self-defense for the U.S. and German navies.  The cables built by
 LaBarge will be used in the RAM launch system.
     LaBarge will produce the cable assemblies at its Berryville, Ark.,
 facility.  Production is expected to begin this summer and continue for three
 years.
