Land Rover Displays 2002 Discovery Series II Kalahari, 'Tomb Raider' Defender and Upcoming Freelander At 2001 New York International Automobile Show

Upcoming Land Rover Models Converge on Groundbreaking New Display

Apr 10, 2001, 01:00 ET from Land Rover North America, Inc.

NEW YORK, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The urban landscape of New York City is
an unlikely place to launch a series of vehicles designed for extreme off-road
driving. But Land Rover North America will do just that when it premieres the
first of its all-new "Kalahari" vehicle series at this year's New York
International Automobile Show. The 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II
Kalahari, which goes on sale in October of this year, will be seen on a brand-
new Land Rover auto show display that will bring the world's extreme weather
conditions to the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Land Rover's innovative
exhibit features three "environments" that represent the extreme parts of the
world in which Land Rover vehicles may be found including desert, jungle and
mountain regions. Each of the Land Rover display's environments will expose
auto show visitors to the respective climates of these regions. Visitors will
be subjected to actual heat, humidity, cold and wind as part of this exciting
 new display.
