Leading Hungarian Systems Integrator Implements Clear's Clearview(R) Suite For Hungarian Telecommunications Firm

NETvisor Deploys Optical Network Management Software for Matav to Proactively

Address Potential Circuit Failures

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Optical network management
software leader Clear today announced that Matav, Hungary's leading telecom
service provider, will implement the Clearview product suite through
Budapest-based NETvisor, Ltd. Clear and NETvisor formed a partnership late
last year whereby NETvisor serves as the Authorized Systems Integrator and
Support Center for Clear's Hungarian software deployments.
As a result of Hungary's deregulated telecommunications market, carriers
like Matav are differentiating themselves through increased quality of
service. Clearview will help Matav achieve this goal through benefits
 such as:

      * Improved network quality though short- and long-term performance
monitoring, chronic problem identification, and proactive network
        management.

      * Customer reporting tools that prove service quality daily, monthly,
        quarterly, or yearly.

In addition to service differentiation, Clearview users such as Matav
realize cost savings through reductions in:

      * Mean-time-to-repair.

      * Dispatches required to isolate faults.

      * Circuit downtime by isolating problems to specific network segments
prior to taking a circuit out of service.

"Maintaining the levels of satisfaction our customers demand as we rapidly
expand our optical infrastructure is critical," said Dr Wiener, representative
from Matav. "To meet those requirements, we selected Clearview because its
visualization capabilities allow us to pinpoint network problems while its
reporting features allow us to better manage Service Level Agreements."
Clear's service assurance software suite, called Clearview(R), graphically
displays circuit configurations, proactively identifies and correlates service
problems to affected customers, and consolidates performance details into
graphical reports that measure against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
"As telecommunications markets across the world become increasingly
deregulated and more competitive, carriers will begin to differentiate
themselves through value added services rather than price pointing," said
Lawrence Brinded, Director, Business Development for Europe, Middle East and
Africa (EMEA) for Clear. "Matav is a leading European Telecommunications firm
leading this trend. It has integrated Clearview to answer customer demand for
superior service while cutting operating costs."
