CLEVELAND, Aug. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton's EHS Today, in collaboration with the sponsoring law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP, today announced the 2015 Safety Leadership Conference will be held Oct. 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, S.C. The EHS Today Safety Leadership Conference, as well as the accompanying America's Safest Companies Award Program, is designed to share best leadership and safety practices with EHS professionals hoping to achieve world-class safety at their companies.

Themed "ROS – The Return on Safety," the Safety Leadership Conference, plays upon the familiar acronym ROI – return on investment – with a new term "ROS" - return on safety. Focusing too intently on ROI – without the balance of ROS – can impact not only employee safety but ultimately, organizational success.

"Only when executive leaders are aligned with incorporating safety thinking into business objectives and decisions will we achieve true safety excellence," says EHS Today Editor-In-Chief Sandy Smith. "Business and safety strategies are developed to work together toward the same goals, rather than compete. Safety and productivity must become allies, and safety only can be perceived as a core value within a corporate culture when the safety strategy supports and aligns with the business strategy and goals."

That is why the expert presenters and panelist across the four tracks of the 2015 Safety Leadership Conference – Safety and Risk Management, Construction, Compliance and Safety Technology – will examine concepts like leading indicators, strategic integration of safety into the business model, employee and management engagement, continuous improvement and more. In addition, keynote presentations will examine tragic work-related incidents and the lessons learned – and ignored – from those tragedies.

In its fourth consecutive year, the Safety Leadership Conference once again will host the America's Safest Companies Award Program, which recognizes companies that have achieved innovation and strategic safety goals and injury and illness rates lower than the industry average.

EHS Today expects more than 400 attendees to attend the conference, which provides opportunities to acquire new insights through facility tours, hands-on workshops, keynote presentations, numerous breakout sessions and multiple networking events. The conference presents a number of networking opportunities, including a special evening Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Old Cigar Warehouse. The program will recognize the 2015 America's Safest Companies Award Winners during a special ceremony and includes food and drinks, music and celebration.

Registration is currently open at www.safetyleadershipconference.com and those who register by Friday, Aug. 21 can save $100. Attendees also can visit the site to find additional information regarding the conference agenda, session topics and speakers and networking opportunities.
