LOS ANGELES, May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexus and TV One are pleased to announce season four of VERSES AND FLOW, which promises to bring must-see TV with new host, LAZ ALONSO, and hot performances by chart-topping and award-nominated/winning artists.
K. MICHELLE, CANDICE GLOVER, ALICE SMITH, JOE, RUBEN STUDDARD and GARY CLARK JR. are just a few of the talented artists who will perform when VERSES AND FLOW tapes two shows per day at Siren Studios in Hollywood, CA. The eight shows will air on TV One starting in August.
VERSES AND FLOW is a NAACP-nominated series, that was created by Lexus to reach African-American consumers on a broader level while bringing great music and poetry to the masses.
The new host, Laz Alonso, who is currently featured in the Lexus CT 200h spot, recently revised his roll as Fenix in the mega-hit feature film, "Fast & Furious 6," and has been named by "Variety" as one of the "Top Ten Actors to Watch." Alonso recently starred in the NBC series, "Deception," and carried the lead role on the A&E drama, "Breakout Kings." He won the hearts of many with the hit romantic comedy, "Jumping the Broom" for which he won a 2012 NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture."
The past three seasons of VERSES AND FLOW showcased show-stopping performances by greats such as Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Estelle, Marsha Ambrosius, Chrisette Michele, Kem, Raheem DeVaughn and Mary Mary. Verses And Flow has also debuted singers and musicians who went on to land at the top of the charts. With season four, Verses And Flow is on track to bring even more electrical offerings and awe-inspiring spoken word performances.
