 announced a partnership with the Tao Group, a leading multimedia software,
 open platform provider for networked digital appliances. The partnership will
 enable Lineo to include high-performance, compact embedded Java(TM) solutions
 for multimedia platforms with Lineo Embedix(TM) SDK developer tools. Embedded
 features include a broad range of capabilities including 2D and 3D graphics,
 fonts, and streaming video and audio in devices such as smart phones, set
 tops, cameras and web pads. The solution also includes a strong emphasis on
 enabling manufacturers to differentiate by the incorporation of their own
 technologies on to the platform and the provision of on-screen branding.
