Company Adds Key Executives Focused On Strategic Alliances

 Loudeye Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LOUD), a leading provider of services and
 infrastructure for the authorized delivery of digital content, today announced
 the appointment of Steve Plinio to vice president, strategic alliances, and
 John H. Shaw to vice president, corporate communications.
     Mr. Plinio has 12 years experience in music industry law, transactions and
 business development. In his newly created position, he will enhance Loudeye's
 efforts to build and manage business relationships with the music industry,
 particularly supporting Loudeye's role as a strategic partner with major
 recording companies and their digital music initiatives. Previously, Plinio
 was vice president of strategic development for OnAir Streaming Networks where
 he guided digital music strategy, managed major music industry accounts and
 directed business development.
     Prior to OnAir, Plinio served as a partner in the Entertainment and Media
 unit of Los Angeles-based Manatt, Phelps & Phillips with a practice that
 encompassed the music industry and included recording, publishing, on-line
 music and other music business transactions, with an emphasis on digital music
 issues and rights. Plinio received his Juris Doctorate from Northwestern
 University School of Law and a BA in Mathematics from Colgate University.
     John H. Shaw brings 20 years experience as a corporate communications
 professional, award-winning journalist and securities industry executive to
 the newly created position of vice president, corporate communications. In
 that role, he will direct all external and internal communications activity
 including investor, public and media relations.
     Most recently, Shaw served as vice president, corporate communications at
 Digital Media Campus, a Los Angeles-based incubator of digital media
 companies. Previously, he was vice president, corporate communications at
 Syncronys Softcorp, a publicly traded software publisher, and an account group
 supervisor at the Financial Relations Board. Shaw also worked as a journalist
 for a CBS television affiliate and Gannett Newspapers and has served as a
 Captain and Communications Officer with the United States Marine Corps. He
 holds a Master's Degree in Management from Webster College, and BA in
 psychology from the University of Arizona.
