 (NYSE:   LSI) today introduced ZOpen, an open architecture software framework
 designed to accelerate development of next-generation digital signal processor
 (DSP) applications based on the company's industry-leading ZSP architecture.
 ZOpen provides integration guidelines with supporting utilities, compliant
 third party algorithms, and a supporting methodology that simplifies and
 standardizes application development. DSP product developers will benefit from
 ZOpen's ease of use and standardization features, enabling them to improve
 software development, integration and move products quickly from concept to
 market.
     Support infrastructure for the ZSP architecture comes from a Solution
 Partner Program that includes many of the industry's top DSP tools and
 applications software providers. Third party participation has swelled over
 the last year, based on the growing industry acceptance of LSI Logic's ZSP
 technology and open architecture strategy, as highlighted by IBM's and
 Conexant's recent selection of ZSP as their DSP of choice.
     As a complementary infrastructure effort, the ZOpen promotes interoperable
