    ANNAPOLIS, Md., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Maryland.com, the largest
commercial information portal focused exclusively on Maryland, announced today
that it has licensed its eDirectory(TM) software to the Annapolis and Anne
Arundel County Chamber of Commerce (AAACCC). The AAACCC is one of the largest
Chambers in the state of Maryland, approaching 1,300 members. The Chamber is
using a custom implementation of the software to provide an online, searchable
directory of its members from the Chamber's website at
 http://www.annapolischamber.com .
The eDirectory(TM) software met the Chamber's need for a powerful,
searchable database of its growing membership, according to Kenna Brigham,
communications coordinator at the Chamber. "I have received fantastic
feedback from members already," Kenna stated less than a week after the launch
 of the new directory.
Maryland.com's Business Locator also uses the eDirectory(TM) software but
offers three levels of inclusion for their database of over 35,000 businesses.
Maryland residents and visitors use Maryland.com's Business Locator over
10,000 times each week to locate businesses in Maryland, searching by
location, category, business name or keyword. The address for Maryland.com's
 Business Locator is http://www.maryland.com/business .
"I believe our membership will find the expanded information and web site
links available in the higher listing options of Maryland.com's eDirectory(TM)
the most useful," said Bob Burdon, President of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel
County Chamber. Users of the AAACCC's online membership directory will be
able to locate businesses easily by taking advantage of a 250 character
business description, email and web site links, and a dynamic map that
provides driving directions to the business location.
"We are delighted by the success that the Annapolis and Anne Arundel
County Chamber has had already with their custom implementation of the
eDirectory(TM) database software," said Nat Cohen, president of Maryland.com
and an Annapolis native and Key School graduate. "This is a great example of
how the Chamber is using the Internet to benefit its members."
The eDirectory(TM) software is ideal for organizations that wish to place
their membership information online in an easy-to-use searchable directory.
The software can be easily customized to meet the needs of most organizations.
More information on the eDirectory(TM) software is available at
