REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Mbrane (Nasdaq: MBRN),
formerly listed as Centura(R) Software Corporation (CNTR), announced that
trading of the company's stock will be under the new symbol "MBRN" beginning
 today.
Centura Software announced its name change to Mbrane on February 28, 2001,
in recognition of the company's strategic refocus of its industry-leading
technologies on the high growth mobile, wireless and embedded software
markets. The name Mbrane reflects the company's unique technology "membrane"
that solves business problems by creating a universal platform for securely
extending corporate enterprises' resources to mobile users and devices.
"In today's complex business climate, companies must adapt or die. This
means that employees, whether mobile or not, must have pervasive access to the
business intelligence that resides in their enterprises," remarked Scott
Broomfield, CEO of Mbrane. "With Mbrane's software membrane, companies stay
ahead of the competition by empowering their people to make the right
decisions in the right place and time."
Mbrane software pushes intelligence and decision-making ability to the
edge of the corporate network by creating a membrane that envelops the
enterprise system, securely and dynamically extending information assets of
the company to mobile employees and embedded devices. Within the membrane,
vital information and functionality flow easily to where they are needed, when
they are needed. Mbrane's software solutions maximize ROI on all technology
investments by sitting on top of, and complementing, all existing IT
platforms, ensuring that mobile infrastructure adapts to future technology
 shifts.
The change of Centura Software's company name to Mbrane is pending
 shareholder approval.
