Naked and PHD veterans Erik Jansen and Ed Castillo Join as First Ever Integrated Strategy Directors

NEW YORK, March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Worldgroup announced today the appointment of Ed Castillo and Erik Jansen to the newly created position of integrated strategy director. As part of the McCann Worldgroup's global mission to create marketing solutions for clients that help transform their brands and grow their businesses, Castillo and Jansen will lead the integration of strategy across disciplines and across media for a number of McCann Worldgroup's global brands. Both hires are effective immediately.

Castillo, best known for his contribution to the "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" campaign, joins McCann Worldgroup from PHD New York where he served as senior vice president, director of account planning since 2006. Prior to that, Castillo was co-founder of brand agency and creative boutique North and held positions at Leo Burnett, R&R Partners, and Applied Research and Consulting. Castillo's brand experience includes truth, HBO, Starbucks, Google, Gap, MTV, CBS and other clients in the new media, finance, tourism, apparel and automotive categories.

Jansen was most recently Managing Partner at Naked Communications, New York. In the decade preceding this, he held director positions at MPG and Messner Vetere, Berger, McNamee, Schmetterer.
