Meadow Brook Music Festival Announces 2001 Summer Schedule; Individual Tickets On Sale Monday

Two Weekend Festivals Highlight Array Of Entertainment

 Meadow Brook Music Festival announces its 2001 summer entertainment event
 schedule with a varied lineup of live family shows, stage productions, comedy
 stars, country, pop, rock, jazz and folk artists, and two new weekend events:
 Fine Art at Meadow Brook Music Festival and the Michigan Wine & Food Festival.
  The season also features 15 performances by the esteemed Detroit Symphony
 Orchestra over five weekends  (please see attached schedule for details).
     Individual tickets for Meadow Brook Music Festival's summer season go on
 sale Monday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com , The Palace Box Office and
 all Ticketmaster centers.
     Tickets may also be charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa

     Series tickets for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performances may be
 purchased at the DSO Box Office or by calling 313/576-5111.  Individual DSO
 shows will go on sale May 14.

 anything we've offered in the previous eight summers of Palace Sports &

 extremely diverse, but we are introducing two festivals which will utilize
 Meadow Brook's expansive, well-manicured grounds to celebrate the fine arts
 and our state's wine and food industries."
     In addition to managing the Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of
 Oakland University, PS&E ownership includes the The Palace, DTE Energy Music
 Theatre, and the leasehold rights to the Ice Palace in Tampa, Florida.
     Voted "Arena of the Year" eight times by Performance magazine and twice by
 Pollstar magazine, The Palace hosts approximately 200 events and 2.5 million
 patrons per year and is listed by Amusement Business magazine annually among
 North America's top-grossing arenas.  Voted "Best Outdoor Concert Venue" in
 Pollstar magazine's Annual Readers' Poll, DTE Energy Music Theatre has been
