(OTCPink: MDIN) today announced that as a result of positive feedback from test stores selling its popular anti-snoring product, SNORenz®, the company is preparing to ship counter displays of the product to convenience stores throughout the New York City area, the next step in the company's expansion into brick-and-mortar retail.
As a result of interest from shareholders and consumers, Medgen has published a directory and photo gallery on its website at www.medgeninc.com, where people can see listings of some of the locations currently carrying SNORenz®. These locations have done so well with the product that Medgen is now preparing to ship to independent distributors on the east coast, who mainly service convenience stores, where the SNORenz® counter top displays will be placed. Using promotional displays builds brand recognition and generates revenue for the company while collecting valuable sales data that the company can use as it expands its coverage. There are countless convenience stores throughout the New York Metropolitan area offering a tremendous potential market for Medgen's product line. The benefits of starting out with independent retailers is not only the large number of locations available, but the fact that smaller retailers depend on their local distributors for product placement, translating into much shorter lead times to get products on shelves. Medgen also continues to work with most of the major chains, but the current rollout strategy allows the company to move more quickly and to get product on shelves and to consumers more effectively while going through the lengthier process with the big box chains.
