Apr 19, 2001, 01:00 ET from MedSafe, Inc.

WALTHAM, Mass., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- MedSafe, Inc. and the
Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) announced today the formalization of a
long-term partnership, and the joint development of a compliance and risk
management program for MDS Member practices. This new program is designed
specifically to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce liability, and ease the
bureaucratic burden for dentists in Massachusetts.
"Compliance with the various federal and state regulations is time
consuming and something better left to professionals who work with them daily.
That's why MDS has entered into this partnership with MedSafe," said James B.
Nesti, DMD, President of the Society, in a letter announcing the new
partnership to members. "We believe that participation in this program will
positively impact our Members' professional lives as well as the overall
quality of practice risk management and compliance in Massachusetts."
Specific benefits of the program to member dentists include a free safety
risk management and compliance program review of the practice followed by the
development of site-specific documentation, policies and procedures manuals,
and complete training for all staff. The program also includes a 24/7 helpline
and various Internet based resources for the dental practice.
To encourage widespread participation in the program the Society and
MedSafe have cooperated in the negotiation of a significant discount for
Members who contract for a three year subscription to the program.
The Massachusetts Dental Society, a 4,500 member statewide association,
provides professional services and assistance to its member-dentists and oral
