Michael Grogan Named URAC Chief Information Officer

    WASHINGTON, April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- URAC has named Michael S. Grogan as
 its Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this newly created position, Mr.
 Grogan will be responsible for directing the advancement of URAC's internal
 information systems, launching a web-enabled accreditation process, assisting
 with URAC's new Health Web Site Accreditation Program and Establishing a
 network of Information Technology resources for URAC and its accredited
 companies.

 challenging areas of the nation's quickly changing healthcare delivery

     Mr. Grogan has extensive experience developing technology solutions for
 corporations and non-profit organizations.  Before joining URAC, Mr. Grogan
 was Executive Producer for THINK New Ideas and AnswerTHINK Consulting.  Prior
 to THINK, Mr. Grogan served as Director of Technology for Gifts In Kind
 International.  Among other positions, he also served in key roles at Triad
 Communication and America Online.
     URAC recently has developed new accreditation standards, revised existing
 standards, expanded its education program, broadened its research agenda, and
 published several books on health care quality.  As a result, URAC's business
 operations have more than doubled in size during the past three years.
 Establishing the CIO position was a natural response to URAC's soaring growth.
