     Midway Airlines (Nasdaq:   MDWY) today announced sale fares in select cities
 to provide passengers affordable options for spring vacations.  Fares start as
 low as $49 each way based on a roundtrip purchase.  Specific fare rules and
 restrictions can be found at www.midwayair.com.  Travelers can call
 1(800) 44-MIDWAY or their travel agent for reservations.
     Examples of fares from Midway's hub at Raleigh-Durham International
 Airport (RDU) include $49 each way to/from Birmingham, Ala.; $54 each way
 between RDU and Louisville, KY; $65 each way between RDU and Providence, RI;
 and $149 each way between RDU and Denver.  Fares quoted are each way based on
 a roundtrip purchase.  Fares are valid every day of the week.  Seats at these
 fares are limited and may not be available on every flight, every day.

 at least 7 days in advance, within 24 hours of making a reservation, and no
 later than midnight on April 9, 2001, whichever comes first.  For all markets
 travel must be completed by August 12, 2001.  Travel between Birmingham and
 all markets is effective May 1, 2001; travel between Providence and all
 markets is effective April 18, 2001; and for all other markets travel is
 effective April 10, 2001.  For all fares, travel is valid every day of the
 week.  All fares are each way in coach based on a round-trip purchase.  Seats
 at these fares are limited and may not be available on every flight, every
 day.  Travel to/from Raleigh/Durham is nonstop.  Saturday night stay required.
 30-day maximum stay.  Schedules are subject to change and other conditions may
 apply.  Blackout dates for all markets except Birmingham and Providence are
 April 12-16, May 25, and May 28-29, 2001.  There are no blackout dates for
 travel to/from Birmingham and to/from Providence.  Tickets are non-refundable;
