Midway Airlines Inaugurates Nonstop Service to Providence, R.I.

    RALEIGH-DURHAM, N.C., April 18 /PRNewswire/ --
     Midway Airlines Corporation (Nasdaq:   MDWY) today inaugurated its new
 nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Providence,
 R.I. (PVD).  Midway will offer three flights per day to Providence, utilizing
 its 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet aircraft.  Providence is the third new city
 to which Midway has inaugurated service in 2001.  In addition, Midway has
 announced new nonstop service to Birmingham, Ala., and Dayton, OH, starting in
 May.
