Mr. Girsky is a veteran automotive executive with over 25 years in the industry. As Vice Chairman of General Motors, he designed GM's overhaul of its European division, Opel, and continued to serve on GM's Board until last year. Throughout his career, he has worked with auto and steel unions to protect worker's interests under their labor contracts, and previously served as a Board member of the UAW's Retiree Medical Trust. Starting as an automotive analyst at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Girsky was the top ranked auto analyst by Institutional Investor for 14 years. Mr. Girsky currently serves on the Board of United States Steel and, indicative of his expertise in automotive technology, the self-driving startup, Drive. Ai.
