DETROIT, Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- More than $55,000 in gifts and donations will be delivered to the Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences (DAAS) at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1st in a human chain by the DAAS "Detroit Youth Show Choir" from the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) in anticipation of its PBR Built Ford Tough Event at Ford Field March 10, 2012.

National entertainer and legendary "barrel man" (and former math and history teacher) Flint Rasmussen will present bull riding "Toughest Sport on Earth" to the students in a brief presentation immediately following the gift queue.

The DAAS Choir is slated to perform the national anthem and its "Detroit State of Mind,", at the PBR's 8 p.m. March 10th show, which opens with country music megastars Big & Rich.

Giving of more than $55,000 of gifts and donations to DAAS students and families. PBR is providing 1,300 backpacks filled with gifts and supplies, $30,000 of event tickets and a $1,000 check to the DAAS.

This is the first of a new annual event in Detroit.
