"Dot Hill's ability to supply us with SCSI and fibre channel solutions
housing similar components, both with AC and DC options, give us a high level
of flexibility. Our customers can buy a combination of these products for
different telco applications, and take advantage of the same interface, field
replaceable unit interchangeability, and continuity of look and feel from
program to program," said Tim Trautman, senior product manager, Motorola
Computer Group (MCG). "In addition, the SANnet 7100 currently supports up to
sixteen independent hosts. This level of connectivity and flexibility gives
 MCG's HA-SAN platform tremendous value."
Trautman added, "Dot Hill's SANnet systems are rated at 99.9998 percent
uptime and are Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3 certified.
These premium features give our customers the confidence that their phone
system applications will survive disasters like severe earthquakes, extreme
temperature fluctuations, and lightning strikes up to 15,000 volts. Dot
Hill's long history of providing products that meet as well as surpass the
NEBS Level 3 standards was a key factor in our selection of them as our
high-end storage supplier. Their SANnet products greatly complement
 Motorola's high availability platforms."
"Motorola's telecom customers demand reliable products for their critical
information storage applications. As a global telecom leader, Motorola
strives to ensure customers uninterrupted access to voice and data
communications," said Richard Search, senior vice president of marketing and
product management of Dot Hill. "Our carrier-class SANnet products provide
customers with constant, secure data. The selection of Dot Hill by Motorola
shows that we have again proven our ability to provide storage solutions for
customers that demand the highest standard of reliability."
