MSPCA Animal Hall of Fame Nominations

    BOSTON, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Massachusetts Society for the
 Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is now accepting nominations for its 2001
 Animal Hall of Fame Dinner, which will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2001,
 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston.
     At the event, human and animal heroes will be inducted into the MSPCA's
 Animal Hall of Fame.  The public is invited to nominate heroes in the
 following categories by sending a letter of nomination with supporting
 documentation:
 
     Animal Hero will be presented to an animal who has saved the life of one
 or more humans or animals or demonstrated remarkable bravery or loyalty.
     Human Hero will be presented to a person or persons who have made a
 significant contribution that advanced the wellbeing of animals or
 demonstrated bravery and compassion that saved the life of an individual
 animal.
     Young Hero will be presented to a person under 18 who either through
 volunteer activities or an act of genuine kindness and compassion made a
 significant difference in the life of one or more animals.
 
     Nominations should be sent on or before June 1, 2001 to the MSPCA Animal
 Hall of Fame, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 or by visiting
 www.mspca.org.  People submitting nominations should include their address and
 a day or nighttime phone number and/or email address.
