Narad Networks Forms Technically Diverse Network Engineering Team; Telecom Veteran to Head the Group

    WESTFORD, Mass., April 23 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- Narad
 Networks, Inc., a broadband IP services infrastructure company, today
 announced the formation of its Network Engineering group comprised of seasoned
 veterans from leading telecommunications, cable and networking companies to
 support the young venture's upcoming field trials later this year.
     A 30-year telecommunications veteran, Michael J. Donnelly will head the
 7-member team as director of network engineering.
     "Narad's breakthrough technology is a combination of RF infrastructure and
 IP, so we built a solid team with a diverse set of skills capable of
 understanding those complexities to support our customers as they move into IP
 networking over HFC," said Pete Dale, vice president of North American sales
 at Narad Networks.
     With more than 140 years collective technical development experience in
 critical areas, including DOCSIS, network management and voice over IP (VoIP)
 architectures, the members of the Network Engineering group include:
 
     Mike Donnelly, Director of Network Engineering
     Most recently, Donnelly was director of network consulting at Convergent
 Networks.  Previously, he held senior technology positions at Siemens,
 Newbridge Networks and AT&T.
 
     Jerry Thorne, Senior Network Engineer
     A 30-year veteran of the cable industry, Thorne joins Narad Networks from
 Quality RF Services, where he was the applications engineer in sales and
 published technical articles on CATV system architectures and solutions.
 
     Ron Upchurch, Senior Network Engineer
     A 30-year cable industry veteran including nine years specializing in
 large cable TV systems, Upchurch joins Narad Networks from AT&T Broadband,
 where he was the manager, system engineering.  While earlier serving AT&T
 Corporate Engineering, Upchurch developed the DOCSIS equipment certification
 program for TCI and was instrumental in the deployment of HSD in the cable
 systems.
 
     Aaron Beaule, Senior Network Engineer
     Beaule brings nearly 10 years of data networking experience to Narad,
 previously holding system engineering responsibilities at Cisco Systems,
 Newbridge Networks and Nortel Networks.
 
     Lee Collier, Systems Engineer
     A 20-year veteran of the networking industry, Collier has held numerous
 positions of increasing responsibility in system engineering with various
 divisions of Nortel Networks and earlier with Bay Networks.
 
     William "Dale" Flowers, Network Engineer
     Flowers has implemented numerous cable network upgrades during his
 20 years in the industry.  With his in-depth, hands-on understanding of MSO
 needs, Flowers will be an integral team member helping MSOs as they augment
 their networks with Narad Networks solutions.  He joins Narad from AT&T
 Network Services, where he was a senior technical staff member.  Earlier in
 his career, Flowers held managerial positions at Garden State Cable TV and
 Charter Communications.
 
     Divi Gupta, Network Engineer
     A recent graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a
 bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering, Gupta comes to Narad
 with a strong RF design and data background.
