     National City Bancorporation (Nasdaq: NCBM) announced today a regular
 quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of 14 cents per share payable on
 June 1, 2001 to stockholders of record May 3, 2001.  The Company has
 approximately 8.5 million shares of common stock outstanding.

 City Bank of Minneapolis, a business bank founded in 1964 to serve the broad
