NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A new chapter in pop music history is being written this week, as multi-platinum, three-time Grammy Award-winning Motown Records artist Ne-Yo captures the #1 spot on the UK national chart with "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)," the latest single from his new album, R.E.D., arriving in-stores on November 6th. Ne-Yo is set to perform "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)" on the season finale of NBC's America's Got Talent this Thursday, September 13th.
With 90,000 first week UK sales, "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)," Ne-Yo's overall 5th #1 UK single, marks his first #1 UK hit as a Motown artist, since his move from Def Jam to Motown in January. It also marks Ne-Yo's biggest #1 UK sales week and is Motown's first #1 UK hit in 20 years, since Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" in 1992.
The success of "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)" is underscored by the fact that Ne-Yo is not only an artist on the newly revitalized Motown Records, but also serves as the label's Senior Vice President of A&R.
