Netegrity Expands Leadership in Asia Pacific

Releases SiteMinder 4.6 with Double Byte Support and Opens Office in Japan

    WALTHAM, Mass., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Netegrity, Inc., (Nasdaq:   NETE),
 the leading provider of solutions for securely managing e-business, today
 announced that they have shipped SiteMinder(R) 4.6.  SiteMinder 4.6 provides
 Double Byte character support enabling Netegrity to meet the needs of its
 multi-national customer base and further expand into international markets
 such as Japan and Korea.  The company also announced that it has opened an
 office in Japan to meet the growing needs of that market.  Barry Bycoff,
 Netegrity's Chairman and CEO will address the Japanese market and launch the
 new office in Japan on April 25th.

     SiteMinder 4.6 is the first internationalized version of Netegrity's
 solution for managing user access to e-business Web sites.  SiteMinder fully
 supports multi-byte characters for user login, registration, password changes,
 authentication, and authorization.  This enables companies and their users to
 log on to the site in their native languages.  In addition, SiteMinder 4.6 has
 been fully localized for Japan including documentation, user interfaces,
 templates, and user input facilities.  This will enable Japanese users to be
 authenticated and authorized using their Japanese names with Japanese
 characters.  Netegrity plans to localize SiteMinder for other languages as
 well.
 
     Performance in Asia Pacific
     Expansion into new areas in Asia Pacific- In addition to the offices
 Netegrity has already established in Singapore, Australia (Sydney and
 Melbourne), and Hong Kong, Netegrity has also opened a Japan office in Tokyo.
 Netegrity expects to also open offices in Korea and Taiwan over the course of
 the year.
 
     Yoshio Sugano has been appointed as President of Netegrity Japan.  As the
 President of Netegrity Japan Ltd, Mr. Yoshio Sugano will concentrate on
 building the infrastructure for Netegrity in Japan and establishing partner
 channels. Prior to joining Netegrity, Mr. Yoshio Sugano also served as the
 President for NetManage and MapInfo in Japan.

 Pacific region with key customers including Cathay Pacific Airways, OpenTide,
