BARSTOW, Calif., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- In Barstow, California, surrounded by desert playground and the ever growing hunger of adrenaline junkies, lies Xtreme Convenience and Travel Center, a new Union 76 gas station catering to the adrenaline fixes of the action sports crowd with Xtreme Racing Fuel outside and Monster Energy inside. Entrepreneur Ed Komski is holding the grand opening at 2596 Commerce Parkway, on the Lenwood exit off of the I-15 freeway December 5, from noon to 6 pm.

Off-road racers will find high-performance racing fuel at Xtreme. Komski said, "Our target market is anyone buying gas, but especially those who typically carry drums of racing fuel in the back of their trucks. This is a much more convenient and safer option. The rest of the Xtreme experience is for people who just want to have fun." If racers have a special order for racing fuel; they can call ahead and have it ready for them.

In addition to fueling the adrenaline rush of off-road and water vehicles, Xtreme utilized the branding of Monster Energy. Monster found the concept so compelling that they jumped onboard right away. "They are clearly part of the experience and clearly visible throughout the property," said Komski. Monster President Mark Hall said, "When Ed brought us his idea, we thought it was evolutionary and right on target for our demographic, and we were happy to support his efforts." Scott Jackson, Monster's Graphic Designer said, "As far as Monster Energy's history, this is the first time we've taken on a project of this proportion concerning in store signage and involving ourselves with a particular retail location. I believe this will be the sickest pit stop to hit on your way from here to there." Monster will be on hand to celebrate the opening of Xtreme with Monster drinks.

The pumps, as well as all the graphics around the store, feature Monster sponsored athletes, while plasma screens play extreme sports for customers. As a "76" gas station, Ed was able to secure the last "76" ball in the state for the sign as a touch of nostalgia.

Inside the store, coffee, drinks and food can be found, but Monster sponsored gear sets it apart. For the first time, Monster merchandise, such as shirts, hats, etc., will be sold in store. Also featured is Oakley, One Industries, Sledneck & Troy Lee. Komski plans on Xtreme being a one stop shop for all off-road gear and anything someone might need while having a great time in the desert. He is also looking toward other successful partnerships, similar to Monster, which would provide additional major brand-name gear, motorcycles, and other racing toys that would benefit his target market.

For campers, there are RV services, H2O, dump, propane, and easy access. Komski said, "We're looking for large RV supplies to add to the planned travel center like a camping world." An on-site repair facility is planned as well.
