economic conditions and the impact on corporations and consumers on April 18,
2001 from 7:00am to 9:00am at the La Jolla Marriot. As a Ph.D. economist, an
inventor, a professor, a public servant and an entrepreneur, Dr. Arthur B.
Laffer and his breadth of experience and knowledge have earned him the
recognition and respect of academics and businessmen alike. He is most
well-known for his invention of the Laffer Curve, which Time Magazine -- along
with the Wright brothers' airplane, Einstein's theory of relativity and Salk's
polio vaccine -- recently acknowledged in its cover story.
As President Ronald Reagan's chief economic adviser Dr. Laffer, and his
supply-side economic plan worked to trigger a worldwide tax-cutting movement
in the '80s. Will the current tax reduction plan being developed by the White
House have as big an impact as tax cuts of the 80's? Come listen and discuss
these issues at the April BIOCOM breakfast. The cost is $35 for members and
$55 for non-members and includes parking and breakfast. For more information
or to register please call Alison Raphael at 858-455-0300 extension 232 or
