Novasonics Names Terry Duesterhoeft as Vice President Strategic Marketing And Business Development

    MENLO PARK, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Novasonics Inc., a medical
 device company developing high-performance hand-held ultrasound imaging
 devices, has named Terry Duesterhoeft, to the position of vice president of
 marketing and business development, where he will be responsible for
 marketing, partnerships, advertising and product training.
     Zafar Hamdani, CEO and president of Novasonics said, "Terry brings to the
 Novasonics team extensive experience and knowledge in the global ultrasound
 marketplace, specifically developing business models, distribution strategy,
 and launching products in the U.S. and international markets.  Terry's broad
 experience will speed up the commercialization of Novasonics unique technology
 for emerging point-of-care markets."
     Duesterhoeft joins Novasonics from GE Medical Systems, where he held key
 leadership positions in marketing and product management, most recently
 serving as Global Marketing Manager for the ultrasound business.  In this
 role, Duesterhoeft was responsible for the global marketing of GE's leadership
 and premium ultrasound product segment including driving the LOGIQ 700 to a
 global market leadership position.  Duesterhoeft developed and executed global
 distribution plans, and led the commercialization strategy for GE's successful
 breakthroughs on the LOGIQ 700.  Duesterhoeft also held positions at
 Unisys Information Systems and Sperry Corporation.
