Jan 07, 2003, 00:00 ET from Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc.

    PROVO, Utah, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) announced today that its President and
Chief Executive Officer, Steven J. Lund, has accepted a leadership assignment
in the missionary program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
and will be replaced by Truman Hunt, formerly the company's Executive Vice
President and General Counsel. Mr. Lund's assignment will be a full-time
position for a three-year period, beginning in July 2003.
As President, Mr. Hunt will immediately assume direct oversight of the
operations of each of Nu Skin Enterprises' product divisions, as well as
direction of the company's Provo-based operations. Mr. Lund will continue to
oversee the company's strategic direction and operations in global markets
until the annual shareholder meeting in May 2003, at which time Mr. Hunt will
also become the Chief Executive Officer.
According to Mr. Lund, "Over the past several years, we have successfully
prepared a number of key executives to play increasingly important roles in
our business. I have accepted an ecclesiastical assignment at this time not
only because I feel it is the right thing to do, but because I am confident
that Truman and other key executives are well prepared to assume
 responsibility for the company."
Mr. Hunt joined Nu Skin Enterprises over six years ago, managing the
company's initial public offering. He has served as the corporation's chief
legal officer since then, and has been part of the four-person Executive
Management Committee, which directs the company's day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining the company, he was the President of Better Living Products,
Inc., a Nu Skin affiliate involved in marketing consumer products through
traditional retail channels. Mr. Hunt was engaged in the private practice of
corporate and transactional law prior to running Better Living Products.
"Given the significant contributions made by Truman over the past six
years, we are very comfortable that we will continue to grow the business and
achieve our stated objectives, added Blake M. Roney, company Chairman of the
Board. "Those close to our business recognize that Truman has been a key
player in returning growth to our international operations."
The company also announced that D. Matthew Dorny, formerly Assistant
General Counsel, will assume the role of Vice President and General Counsel,
filling the vacancy created by Mr. Hunt's new assignment.
Mr. Dorny has been employed by the company since 1998, serving as its
primary legal counsel responsible for securities law issues and corporate
transactions. He has also been responsible for legal matters in Japan, the
