EDMOND, Okla., Aug. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Favorite band performing on campus? Missed an important assignment? Balance getting low on your meal card? Classes cancelled due to weather? Thanks to a new web-based notification system, Oklahoma Christian University (OC) students, faculty, staff and parents can now receive relevant and timely notifications via text message, email or recorded voice message.

Oklahoma Christian is a highly mobile campus, with students toting an average of three different mobile devices. With Rave Campus Messenger from AT&T*, OC students can get even more connected to their school, receiving large-scale communications such as school closure notifications, as well as alerts specific to their courses and extracurricular activities.

Rave Campus Messenger from AT&T allows OC to distribute messages, from important notifications to tuition due dates, in a simple, flexible manner, across a multitude of different devices. The platform also includes an "EyeWitness" feature, through which anyone on campus can anonymously report a maintenance issue or other important security information via text message.

"Choosing Rave Campus Messenger from AT&T as our notification system was an easy decision, as it's a flexible solution that integrates seamlessly with our existing infrastructure and learning management system," said John Hermes, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Technology Officer at Oklahoma Christian University. "We've been impressed not only with how quickly the system can be turned up with very little effort, but also by how simple it is for students, faculty and staff to use."

OC has launched Rave Campus Messenger from AT&T in time for the fall semester.
