Apr 25, 2001, 01:00 ET from Omicron Consulting, Inc.

PHILADELPHIA, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Omicron Consulting, Inc., one of
America's leading IT consulting firms, announced today that it has been
selected by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America to create a comprehensive Web
presence. The new Web sites are being designed to allow BBBSA to more
efficiently deploy resources directly into the community and meet its goal of
one million volunteer mentors nationwide by 2010. BBBSA's new Web presence
will allow its national headquarters to efficiently communicate with its more
than 500 local agencies nationwide. At the same time, the new sites will be
able to display agency profiles throughout the BBBSA network and communicate
the organization's news and important benchmarks and standards to the
 organization as a whole.
As part of its commitment to the Philadelphia community, Omicron is
performing the work at a deep discount to the non-profit organization.
"We view Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as a vital member of the
community whose efforts are enhancing the world we live in," says Randy
Pritzker, president and CEO of Omicron. "From my earliest years, my father,
who dedicated his life to working with children with special needs, instilled
in me the importance of investing in young people. I am proud that Omicron
can now help realize that dream by helping an organization as worthy as BBBSA
benefit from the power of technology and all that the Internet has to offer."
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, based in Philadelphia, is the
nation's largest youth-mentoring organization. Established in 1914, BBBSA
currently serves more than 185,000 children and youth per year through more
than 500 agencies nationwide. Professionally supported, volunteer Big
Brothers and Big Sisters help children succeed, through acts of friendship and
 attention.
"Omicron's service to BBBSA will play a major role in our ability to
improve our operations and deliver more value to the community," says Stuart
Zeiger, Director of Information and Technology of BBBSA. "One of our primary
assets is an ability to communicate to our local agencies. This new Web
initiative provides us with leading edge tools for building on those assets
and helping our affiliates to bring even more children into our circle of
 support."
Besides BBBSA, Omicron is committed to its community and in particular
charities that support children. Contributions include donations of funds and
services to the Make a Wish Foundation; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; the
Bancroft School; Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation (HOBY Fund) and the Special
 Olympics.
Omicron also developed and implemented the official Web presence for the
