Pendleton, and other high-profile leaders who received awards, is honored for his domestic and international commitment to producing athletic charity events for cancer hospitals and his personal support for community and collegiate education programs.

In 2002, Pendleton created CauseForce, LLC, an athletic event and production company that works directly with charitable organizations to help them raise money for their mission.
