Apr 03, 2001, 01:00 ET from Sony Music Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- There's little doubt the major
impact Billy Gilman's groundbreaking single "One Voice" had on America -- and
one California radio station will be proving the power of the song's message
on Wednesday, April 5th. The morning team of Tony & Kris from radio station
KSON in San Diego are asking radio stations nationwide to ban together and
play Billy Gilman's song "One Voice" on April 5 at Noon in each market to draw
attention to the epidemic of school violence. April 5 marks the one-month
anniversary of the shootings at San Diego's Santana High School in which two
 teenagers were killed.
"Billy Gilman's 'One Voice' says it all," remarked KSON personality Kris
Rochester. "We created a special version of it and he's helped tremendously
in coping with this tragedy. Anything to draw awareness to this horrible
issue in our society can only help."
A special fund has also been set up for anyone interested in making a
 charitable donation:

     Santana High School Memorial Fund
     9915 Magnolia Ave.
     Santee, CA 92071

The Grammy nominated Epic recording artist has just finished making the
follow up disc to his platinum plus debut record, ONE VOICE. Gilman's
sophomore disc is titled DARE TO DREAM and is slated to hit stores on May 8th.
