    REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., April 18 /PRNewswire/ --
(http://www.oracle.com.tellmemore/?668315) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL), the
largest provider of software for e-business, today announced continued rapid
adoption of the customer relationship management (CRM) applications of the
Oracle(R) E-Business Suite in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Over the
past three fiscal quarters, 189 organizations in the region purchased Oracle's
CRM applications, many as part of a wider investment in Oracle's
fully-integrated E-Business Suite. Much of the demand is being driven by
businesses seeking ways to cut costs and increase efficiency by reducing the
 complexity of their IT systems.
"Customer relationship management remains an essential investment area for
a wide range of sectors, but businesses are becoming more thoughtful about how
CRM systems link to the rest of the enterprise," said Sergio Giacoletto,
executive vice president, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa. "More and
more companies are choosing Oracle over the competition, because our CRM suite
is fully integrated with our ERP and supply chain management applications.
This results in a single customer view throughout the enterprise, enabling far
greater levels of customer service and support. This in turn helps increase
customer retention, which is more important than ever given the current
 business climate."
New Oracle CRM customers include public services organizations, technology
suppliers, financial institutions and telecommunications companies such as
Bull Group (France), East Renfrewshire Council (UK), Feria Internacional de
Bilbao (Spain), Landis Group (Netherlands), NamITech (Pty) Ltd (South Africa),

Graeme Wilson, head of information technology, East Renfrewshire Council
said: "The challenges Councils are facing for the new century include
society's demands for improved services in combination with the authority's
requirement for cost control and reduction. East Renfrewshire Council is
grasping these challenges and the opportunity to improve local authority
delivery, build smarter communities and enhance local democracy. The key to
