Oracle Hands Sybase Customers a Technology Lifeline

 largest provider of software for e-business, today announced the SafeSwitch
 Program for Sybase, a data and application migration program for Sybase
 customers who wish to reduce their financial exposure and technology reliance
 on the Sybase database.  PaineWebber Inc., Raytheon and Universal Studios are
 a few of the many customers that have already opted to migrate from Sybase to
 the Oracle(R) database.  PaineWebber previously announced that it would switch
 nearly 500 of its database servers from Sybase to Oracle to support 25,000
 users in areas such as electronic commerce, private client, foreign exchange
 and trading applications.  To assist customers with their data and application
 migrations, Oracle is offering a downloadable migration workbench kit for data
