Oracle Announces Oracle(R) Human Resources Position Control

 of Oracle Human Resources Position Control, a new module of the Oracle Human
 Resource Management System (HRMS) suite.  Position Control will provide public
 sector customers the ability to control personnel costs, the most expensive
 aspect of public sector operations, by detailed management of positions and
 position information.  The module will also provide governing bodies,
 managers, and administrators the ability to effectively manage and control
 personnel costs.
     The primary features provided by the new Position Control module include
 the ability to:
 
     -- Create and maintain positions and position budgets that adhere to
 policies and mutual party agreements.
     -- Automatically route position definitions and budgets for approval via
 workflow.
     -- Define budgets directly or delegate to managers using Organization
 Hierarchy.
     -- Create commitments for each fiscal year period based on projected
 salary/wages and benefits.
     -- Efficiently create new positions by making copies of an existing
 positions.
     -- Provide reports that compare actual-to-date versus budget by position
 expenditures to determine whether personnel costs are tracking to plan.
     -- Recover salary savings from positions that are in surplus and
 reallocate these funds to other positions that are in deficit as appropriate.

 products via an open architecture.
