REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ --
(http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?673468) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL), the
largest provider of software for e-business, today announced major sponsorship
of San Francisco Bay Area Earth Day activities. For the fourth consecutive
year, as part of Oracle's ongoing commitment to the environment and California
parks, Oracle has made a monetary donation to the California State Parks
Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports 266 California state
parks, including Mt. Diablo State Park. Additionally, Oracle Volunteers will
participate in the Mt. Diablo State Park Earth Day project.
"Since 1998, we have contributed annually to the California State Parks
Foundation to help preserve the environment," said Rosalie Gann, director of
Oracle Giving. "This year, we are also a proud sponsor of the Bay Area
Action's Earth Day efforts. In addition to the corporate grant, we're pleased
that our employee volunteers are also pitching in. Community involvement is a
critical component of the Oracle corporate culture."
The California State Parks Foundation's Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup
is a volunteer-supported event that includes thousands of people working on
environmental projects. On Saturday, April 21, 2001, Oracle Volunteers will
participate in the Mt. Diablo Earth Day project. Oracle employees will work
with other volunteers to help replace non-indigenous, invasive plant-life with
native species. Home to wildflowers, remote trails, wildlife and rock
formations, Mt. Diablo is one of the most treasured parks in the San Francisco
 Bay Area.
Oracle's Earth Day sponsorship is part of an ongoing program that
encourages volunteerism and creates opportunities for employees to actively
participate in their local and global community through volunteerism.
