BOSTON, Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Novations, a global consulting firm focused on diversity and inclusion, talent optimization, and market optimization, received an honorable mention in the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge for its development of "Our Worlds of Makrini," an interactive simulation exploring issues of workplace diversity in an interplanetary setting.  The program will be featured at the Annual Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) being held November 29 - December 2, 2010, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Makrini is a breakthrough approach to diversity and inclusion training, being the first-ever gaming simulation on the topic. The simulation assigns the Learner to a position on a commercial space station where they must learn and apply diversity and inclusion skills to interact productively with intergalactic associates, and to attain better business results than competitors. At the end of the simulation, the Learner returns to Earth for a debriefing to aid the application of their learning to their current workplace.

This is the second such industry recognition recently received by Our Worlds of Makrini: the program received the second place award in the LUDUS Project's first annual European Best Learning Game Competition (EBLGC).
