Dr. Michael Horowitz, Dean Chung, Dorothy Farris, and Linda Havard Join Governing Board of Renowned Early Childhood Education College and Preschool

PASADENA, Calif., June 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The governing body of Pacific Oaks College and Children's School welcomed a new chair and three new trustees at its first meeting of the 2010–2011 academic year on June 16. Now with 10 members, the Board of Trustees provides governance and counsel to one of the nation's most renowned colleges devoted to early childhood education and one of the most recognized preschools in the region.

Receiving the gavel from retiring chair Dr. Curt McCray is Michael Horowitz, Ph.D. Dr. Horowitz is the founding president and CEO of the nonprofit TCS Education System (TCS ES), a network of specialized institutions backed by a shared model of education that prepares socially responsible, culturally competent professionals in applied fields such as psychology and behavioral sciences, health and human services, and education and human development. The collection of colleges and graduate schools within TCS ES include The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, and Pacific Oaks College.

Dean Chung, M.B.A, leads corporate strategy practice for management consulting firm Insightout. Chung has deep expertise in IT strategy and regularly provides pro bono assistance in strategic planning and corporate governance to nonprofit boards.

Dorothy Farris, vice president of worldwide sales for Jupiter Systems Inc., the industry leader in display wall processors, and immediate past president of the Leadership California Board.

Linda Havard, M.B.A., former executive vice president and chief financial officer of Playboy Enterprises Inc. Havard has served on the board of non-profit organizations, a publicly-traded energy company, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
