NEWARK, Calif., March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Payment Processing, Inc. (PPI), the industry leader in integrated payments, announces enhancements to the PayMover SecurePlus product line with the addition of hand-keyed transactions and support for touch screen devices. These features enable software developers to deliver integrated payment solutions that process only encrypted data, thereby removing any card data in the clear. Additionally, PayMover SecurePlus is now available with the Touch Dynamic Breeze Touch Monitor and Breeze All-in-One system. Both products have integrated MagTek's MagneSafe™ Security Architecture (MSA).
PayMover SecurePlus constitutes a critical breakthrough for the payments industry. For the first time, developers have available a completely encrypted integrated solution in which all transaction types are supported – credit, debit and hand-keyed – as well as support for MagTek's IPAD®, IPAD with signature capture and Centurion SCRAs. To date, 42 PPI software developer partners have delivered applications to the market using PayMover SecurePlus functionality, resulting in more than 3,000 businesses across a wide range of industries using integrated payment solutions with advanced security features.
"The only real way to secure card data in an integrated solution is to make the card data unusable and PayMover SecurePlus gives the software developer the ability to do just that without losing important reporting and reconciliation capabilities," explained Executive Vice President for PPI, Chuck Riegel. "Asking developers to keep up with an endless list of requirements to protect in-the-clear cardholder data is simply not the answer."
Utilizing the MagneSafe Security Architecture, PayMover SecurePlus is available through a partnership with MagTek (magtek.com). MagneSafe uses open standards encryption (3DES DUKPT protocol) to encrypt credit card track data within the reader, ensuring the merchant's point-of-sale system never handles data in a form that can be intercepted and used by unauthorized third parties. The encryption technology is built into the PayMover API, eliminating the development effort associated with encrypting swiped data and managing encryption keys. Supported transaction types include: credit cards, PIN debit, hand-keyed and gift.
Managed Payer Data
PayMover SecurePlus Managed Payer Data allows the software developer to use tokenization to reference cardholder data without using or transmitting payment account numbers. This removes the need to store cardholder data in software applications, thus reducing the scope for PCI compliancy and, more importantly, reducing the risk of card theft.
