AURORA, Ill., June 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Peerless DS-VW765 Full-Service Video Wall Mount, a Peerless-AV solution designed to expedite the installation of video walls, earned the NEC Best of InfoComm Award for the best professional AV product or service at last week's InfoComm 2011 conference. The modular-style mount saves time by enabling multiple 40" to 65" flat panel displays to be precisely aligned in any video wall configuration without measuring, and quickly serviced without dismantling the entire wall.

The Peerless-AV video wall mount was selected from among the products and services of five finalist companies, including Apantac LLC, Extron Electronics, Inc., projectiondesign and Tecom Electronics Ltd. Judges included five prominent industry members as well as more than 900 attendees whose video votes served as the sixth judge in the competition. Peerless-AV's entry earned 44% of the attendee vote, 19 points ahead of the product that placed second.

Peerless-AV donated the $25,000 cash prize from NEC Display Solutions to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the world's largest breast cancer organization.

"Installing a video wall presents special alignment challenges, particularly when the mounting surface is less than perfect. We designed this product to address those challenges along with the difficulty of accessing displays, cabling or components in a video wall matrix for servicing," said Michael A. Campagna, President/COO of Peerless Industries. "This award, and particularly the overwhelming vote from InfoComm attendees, reflects the urgent market need for a faster, more precise installation and servicing strategy as well as the achievement of our design team in delivering a solution that streamlines both processes."

"There were originally 20 companies in the running for this award, and I know I speak for all of them in thanking Pierre Richer and NEC Display Solutions for providing the opportunity to showcase innovative new products and services at InfoComm," said Nick Belcore, Vice President of Sales, North America, Peerless-AV. "With all of the offerings at the show, it's helpful to vendors as well as to resellers and installers to have an awards program that zeroes in on the best of the best."

The Peerless DS-VW765 mount system reduces video wall installation time by 60%.  Designed to support any display configuration from 2x2 to 3x2, 4x4 and beyond, the solution features:

  • Wall plate spacers customized to the dimensions of specific digital display models, ensuring perfect no-gap spacing alignment between display units.
  • Eight toolless micro-adjustment points between displays, utilizing quick-turn adjustment knobs that save time and facilitate proper placement.
  • A pull-out/prop-open mechanism on each mount that allows any display in the matrix to be accessed individually from either the top or bottom for servicing.

The Peerless DS-VW765 Full-Service Video Wall Mount is available through Peerless' network of distributors and dealers.
