Pennsylvania Gov. Ridge Appoints New Members To Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority Board

    HARRISBURG, Pa., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Community and
 Economic Development Secretary Sam McCullough today announced Gov. Tom Ridge's
 appointments of three new members to the Pennsylvania Industrial Development
 Authority (PIDA) Board.
     "These three individuals will help to encourage economic activity across
 the Commonwealth by ensuring that job-creation initiatives in Pennsylvania
 continue to be a top priority," Secretary McCullough said.
     The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority Board welcomed:
      -- Norman P. Hetrick, attorney for the law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin
          & Mellott, Harrisburg;
      -- John P. Kameen, Owner/Publisher of The Forest City News Inc. in Forest
          City, Susquehanna County; and
      -- David E. Tungate, corporate and business lawyer with the law firm of
          Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, Pittsburgh.
 
     The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority was established in 1956
 to provide low-interest loans to local nonprofit industrial development
 corporations (IDCs) for eligible businesses that commit to creating or
 retaining jobs and to IDCs directly for the development of industrial parks
 and multi-tenant facilities.
