Studio DV, one of the most popular consumer video editing products in the
US and Europe, is an internal PCI solution targeted at the consumer video
hobbyist. Compatible with today's Pentium class PCs, Studio DV is designed for
use with camcorders equipped with FireWire/1394 inputs and outputs, such as
Sony's Digital8 models. Pinnacle Systems' Studio DV video-editing software
includes a wide range of capabilities allowing users to select their best
shots and arrange them in any order, add titles, scene transitions, music,
 narration and video special effects.
"We are delighted to be working with Sony, and recognize the valuable
endorsement that Sony is giving Pinnacle Systems by selecting Studio DV," said
Serge Bussat, vice president of marketing and sales for the personal web video
division at Pinnacle Systems Europe. "This arrangement brings one of our most
popular and easy to use products together with the very latest digital video
camcorder technology from the industry leader. The result is a powerful DV
capture and editing solution that is suitable for millions of customers
 throughout Europe," Bussat added.

     About Studio DV:
Studio DV lets users transfer digital video from a digital camcorder to
their PC. It enables users to select the best scenes and arrange them in any
order, add titles, scene transitions, music, narration and special effects.
Users can choose from more than 100 professional-style scene transitions, and
more than 300 styles for titles, including neon, metallic and drop shadows.
Once the video is completed, users can save it on a DV tape, or digitize it in
an MPEG or Real Video format. Studio DV saves disk space -- an entire tape can
be captured in as little as 150MB.
