    TORONTO, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Platform Computing Inc., a global leader
 in Distributed Resource Management (DRM) solutions, announced that its LSF
 (Load Sharing Facility) software is poised to help accelerate the introduction
 of Itanium-based systems into existing compute environments.  Platform's LSF
 is ready to ship and will support the commercial availability of the 64-bit
 Intel Itanium processor architecture for systems running either the Linux
 operating system or Hewlett Packard Inc.'s HP-UX.  Platform's LSF will also
 support other platforms as they become commercially available.

 utilization of a cluster of Intel(R) ItaniumT processor-based hardware running
 SIXTRACK under the control of Platform Computing's LSF," said Sverre Jarp,
 IA-64/TRILLIAN project manager for the IT Division at CERN.  SIXTRACK is a
 multidimensional, multiparticle tracking code employed by high-energy
 physicists in the analysis of experimental data from particle accelerators.

 the Itanium processor or move from existing operating systems to Linux.  LSF
 is cost-effective, business-critical system software not only for companies
